Workshops

With a basis in neuroscience, leadership theory, psychology and experiential gestalt psychotherapy, our workshops cover not only what to do but also how to do and furthermore, how to deal with the internal and external barriers that get in the way of us doing what we need to do.

Our workshops are educational, thought provoking, engaging, interactive and fun. They support both professional and personal development we believe that in the subject matter we work with the two can’t exist in isolation.

All topics can be delivered online or face to face and over different timeframes;

  • One hour – for a high level understanding of a topic and some practical activities, suitable for a lunch n learn, or a session as part of a conference or a key not speech
  • Three hours for a deeper look into the theory, content and most importantly practical application of the content
  • One day to ensure deep understanding of the topics covered and scenario based application.

A workshops is often well supported with subsequent wellbeing coaching circles to embed the learnings and facilitate ongoing development and support.

Tailored training is available to ensure the solution specifically meets your need. Here is some information on current standard workshops.

Minding your Mental Health

This practical and engaging workshop leaves participants with many take aways to help support themselves through challenging times.

We will cover;

  • Understanding the change process and how we adapt
  • Understanding the stress response and how our brain can work against our happiness
  • Dealing with fear by looking after your little one
  • Pressing the chill button – accessing your inner guru
  • Being your own gatekeeper – choosing what goes in, is this helpful or harmful?
  • Creating purpose and meaning – ticking things off
  • Moving your body
  • Prioritising fun and pleasure
  • Practical ways of being kind to yourself
  • Managing transitions and dealing with change and uncertainty – the third space

Respectful Conversations

This workshop explores how to have challenging conversations in a respectful way. Respectful both to our own needs and those of the others. Unfortunately, often in our bid to avoid conflict, we don’t have challenging conversations until it’s too late and we have lost our ability to hold the other person in positive regard.

This workshop turns the misconception that having difficult conversations destroys relationships on its head and explains how having challenging conversations can actually significantly enhance connection.

Be a better friend to yourself

This workshop is all about feeling the love and directs that love where we are often in need of it most, towards ourselves.

We will learn how part of the internal process of a stress response is that our inner critic becomes activated and we tend to turn on ourselves in times when we could do with the most support. Through a series of practical and repeatable exercises we will learn to lay down the new neural pathways to turn to ourselves in times of need more in line with how we would turn to others, with kindness.

This workshop explains the importance of making peace with, and understanding the wisdom of our inner critic and in turn make space for a new relationship with our inner compassionate self.

Based on the popular work of Kristen Neff, this workshop will also serve as an introduction to mindfulness and will include meditative and non-meditative activities. The workshop is fun, practical, engaging and potentially life changing.

Dealing with difficult client interactions

This course outlines why dealing with escalated people can be so difficult to deal with. We explore the importance of self-awareness in terms of our own conflict styles and preferences.
